DIY: Beach Themed Canvas

A few weeks back I saw a great beach themed canvas with fun words in one of my favourite shops! I desperately wanted to buy it, but when realising it was $95.00 - I knew I could make it myself for less than 1/4 of that price so I put on my DIY hat and got painting.

STEP 1
I purchased a canvas and used acrylic paint. I painted the background using a wipe cloth!

STEP 2
I then started painting the words using different sized stencils

STEP 3
I thought the stencil would be enough but later realised it needed to be neater! So I used a paint pen to create a neat edge around the letters.

FINAL PRODUCT!
Here it is completed! I am looking forward to finding somewhere in our new home to place it!

    Very cute! I like the idea very much. I also notice when I use stencils that I get the idea it will be enough, but it typically turns out messy. I love the idea of the paint pen to clean it up. Looks great!

    Thanks Jess! The only problem with requiring paint pens is that they don't come in very many colours. I purchased it at OfficeWorks and they only had a range of about 4 colours - mainly white, black, silver, gold I think! Thanks for the love!
